Polyimide (PI) / Polyamide-imide (PAI)
One of KBRT´s expertise is to manufacture seamless belts/tubes with polyimide and polyamide-imide varnishes.
These products show outstanding heat stability and chemical resistance. By modifications with fillers special properties like electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity or low friction can be adjusted.
The applied process methods are ribbon flow coating, ring coating, spray coating or dipping. Typical dimensions for seamless belts/tubes are as follows:
It is also possible to create multilayer constructions by combining the PI or PAI belts/tubes with other layers like silicone elastomers or fluorinated polymers.
Polyimide tubes can be used for various applications like electromagnetic shielding or medical applications.
